Fashion Faux Pas

Meri shirt bhi sexy hai
“I am too sexy for my shirt” sang every other teenager at one point of time, but as they grew up they went on to be fashion victims.
When Govinda sang, “Meri pant bhi sexy, meri shirt bhi sexy” people took it too literally and started following his style of clothing. Wearing red pants and yellow shirt became the new ‘white shirt blue jeans’ combo. But what they didn’t know was the fact that it was the end of fashion and birth of faux pas.
For all those who don’t know what faux pas is, get a dictionary guys! Thank Oxford.
‘Faux pas’ itself attracts attention because a majority of people don’t even know how to spell the word, forget the true meaning.
Some might even think that it’s the latest ‘in-thing’ and its cool to be in the limelight by wearing something disastrous.
People spend their whole month’s income on buying something repugnant. These ever famous faux pas are nothing but an instant way of attracting one’s eye.
“I can do anything to be in the limelight,” states my friend. Her middle name may be fashion but faux pas is more apt for her. Someone please tell her wearing shiny yellow boots on a LBD (little black dress) doesn’t make you look anything but a taxi. (Well I just did!)
Some people will do anything to attract attention. The way they speak, they way they dress, they way they talk, the way they walk, all this becomes a center of attention. Your dressing shows the person you are. People’s eyes immediately fall on you and the most important thing is the way you dress up. It’s a fact that you, you and you must have exclaimed “Oh my god, look what she’s wearing” at least hundred times in their lifetime.
Controversy’s favourite child, Rakhi Sawant needs a stylist desperately. Seems like she makes dual use of the bedsheets she has at home.
Kishen Mulchandani needs to be arrested for his hideous ways of covering himself. It has become his patent style statement. You know when he is around there has to be some insult of fashion. Be it his shiny “sunglasses” which are of the size of Antarctica or his XXXL colourful pants which look like a recycled version of pieces of cloth, he knows how to make his presence felt.
And well, it’s us the media who can’t help but notice him…
For all those who haven’t still figured it out ‘Faux Pas’ is French for ‘fashion errors’
